11 health frontliners in Pasay City positive for COVID-19

Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano admitted on Monday that 11 health frontliners in the city are afflicted with the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and are now being treated in the hospital while others were placed in isolation facilities.

Rubiano said the city government is helping the health workers with the treatment and were given medicines and nutritious food that they need.

She said that out of 77 barangays with 210 households recently placed under the localized community quarantine (LCQ), only 65 barangays remain under LCQ with 157 household.

The mayor said only Barangay 183 remains under total lock-down due to the rising number of COVID-19 cases.

Rubiano said that by placing barangays under the LCQ, they can already see a big difference in their intensive conduct of contact tracing with only 60 to 80 individuals being swab tested daily unlike during the spike when they needed to conduct swab testing on more than 100 individuals per day.

She said the city government is continuing to conduct the PDITR (Prevent, Detect, Isolate, Treatment Reintegration) strategy as a means to prevent the spread of the disease.
