It looks like TNT is far from convinced with the reason behind Ray Parks Jr’s decision to skip the upcoming PBA season.

No less than team owner Manny V. Pangilinan who made it known in the public domain after taking to social media to express his doubt that Parks is opting out due to “personal reasons.”

“This photo taken Thursday last week, around 9 pm. February 25, in San Juan, La Union,” said Pangilinan, who posted a photo on his Facebook account showing Parks hanging out in the popular vacation spot up north.

“I don’t see any mother being cared for, and as far as I know, La Union is nowhere near California. Judge for yourself,” added Pangilinan.

Parks spent most of the offseason in the United States after helping TNT reach the Finals of the PBA Philippine Cup bubble. His contract with Tropang Giga also expired after inking a one-year deal in Feb. 2020.

Pangilinan’s post was also shared by the Tropang Giga’s official Twitter account, indicating that team is echoing the same sentiments.

Parks announced his decision to forego the 2021 campaign which he feels is “what’s best for me and my family.”

While Parks mentioned that he was in “constant talks” with TNT, Pangilinan is believing otherwise.
