Police Regional Office-3 (PRO-3) Director Brig. Gen. Valeriano De Leon on Saturday ordered an investigation into the abduction of Cpl. Nikkol Jhon Santos, who was detailed at Pandi Municipal Police Station.

Police said Santos was traversing onboard his motorcycle along Sitio Padling in Barangay Matictic along with two other police officers when a Starex Van blocked his path around 7 a.m.

Investigation showed that Santos was held at gunpoint by several men carrying long rifles who alighted from the van. He and the two other police officers were then ordered to face the ground before they were handcuffed.

"Afterwhich, suspects dragged the victim inside the van and headed towards unknown direction, while the two others were left still with handcuffs," the police report read.

De Leon meanwhile assured that PRO-3 will exert all its efforts into the investigation and will get to the bottom of the crime.

"We continue to solicit the support of the general public in order to maintain peace and order, safety and security of our communities,” he added.
