Currently, 102 coronavirus patients were being managed in the said hospital, PGH Spokesperson Dr. Jonas Del Rosario said.

“Well ang napansin namin, tumataas nanaman yung admission. Bumaba na po kami sa line of 60 na COVID patients, ibig sabihin sa isang araw ang amin lang naka admit ay mga 60 plus, 70 plus (Well, what we noticed is that admissions are increasing again. We have already come down to the line of 60 COVID patients before, which means that in one day the number of admitted patients is about 60 plus, 70 plus),” said Del Rosario in an interview over radio DZBB on Saturday, March 6.

“Itong last week ay umakyat po --- at ngayon ay nasa 102 patients po. Talagang nakita namin yung increase ng admissions nanaman (Last week it went up --- and now there are 102 patients. We really saw the increase in admissions again),” he added.

The Department of Health (DOH) said it is currently observing the increasing number of new COVID-19 cases in the country, particularly in the National Capital Region, Central Visayas, and Cordillera Administrative Region.

“We’re actually concerned dahil dumadami ang kaso ng COVID and so, gusto namin mabakunahan lahat ng aming healthcare workers sa PGH within a week or so (We're actually concerned because the number of COVID cases is increasing and so, we want all our healthcare workers at PGH to be vaccinated within a week or so),” he added.
