Gucci releases a capsule collection inspired by Exo's Kai

And it is filled with teddy bears

Get ready because we are about to see major cuteness as the member of Korean boy band Exo, Kai, stars in the latest campaign of Gucci's newest capsule collection.

Through a series of posts, the Italian luxury brand unveiled its latest line featuring the K-pop superstar. Gucci's creative director Alessandro Michele took inspiration from Kai and created the collection embellished with the quintessential children's toy teddy bear, which is also a favorite of the 26-year-old singer.

Led by photographer Min Hyunwoo and film director Woogie Kim, the campaign was shot on the streets of Seoul, celebrating the forever bond of humans with the stuffed toy.

While Kai has appeared as Gucci's ambassador in its spring-summer 2020 eyewear campaign with Chinese actress NiNi, it is the first time for the luxury brand to produce a collection with a Korean artist as its core inspiration.

"This is the first time Gucci has launched a collection with a Korean celebrity," Kai tells Esquire Korea. "I am incredibly grateful and just as thrilled. It’s not easy to have a collection with your name. It’s a huge opportunity and an act of fortune, so I’m at a loss of words to describe how happy I am that it came to me.”

The Kai x Gucci collection is all about childhood nostalgia with its ready-to-wear men's and woman's pieces all decked with a teddy bear with a blue bow tie motif. See Kai wearing the collection's pieces as he goes on a fun day accompanied by teddy bears in every shape, size, color in the line's campaign video:
