Priest asks politicians not to go ahead of others in the vaccination program
An official of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines Episcopal Commission on Health Care (CBCP-ECHC) has appealed to politicians not to go ahead of others in the vaccination program.

Father Dan Vicente Cancino, executive secretary of the CBCP-ECHC, asked politicians to prioritize the healthcare workers.
“To our politicians, don’t go ahead of others. Let us prioritize the healthcare workers,” he told Church-run Radio Veritas, Tuesday, March 2.
“I hope we follow the prioritization [program]…let us not politicize it,” added Cancino.
On Monday, the government conducted the kickoff of the vaccination drive in the country following the arrival of the donated coronavirus disease (COVID-19) vaccines from China.
Aside from healthcare workers, a number of government officials were also given the COVID-19 jab.
The CBCP official, meantime, asked the public to continue observing the health protocols despite the arrival of the vaccines.
“Let us not be complacent. Continue the minimum healthcare standards-mask, faceshield, physical distancing, wash hands and sanitize,” said Cancino.
