Paper bag with hand grenade, ammunition left along street in Tondo

A hand grenade and some ammunition were found inside a paper bag left along a street in Tondo, Manila on Monday, March 1.

**FOUND EXPLOSIVE** — Members of the Manila Police District cordon off an area in Tondo, Manila on Monday, March 1, where a paper bag containing a hand grenade and ammunition was left along the street.

According to a report, a concerned citizen notified authorities that an unidentified person left a suspicious white paper bag along Moriones Street in Tondo, Manila at around 5:15 p.m.

Police retrieved a hand grenade and six live ammunition of unknown caliber from the said white paper bag.

The retrieved items were brought to the Manila Police District for examination.

Investigation is ongoing.
