In celebration of Women’s Month, the Philippine Commission on Population (POPCOM) will be offering free reproductive health services.

Available services include family planning counseling; family planning commodities such as condoms, pills, injectables, implant, and intrauterine device (IUD); and permanent family planning procedures such as bilateral tubal ligation (BTL) for women and no-scalpel vasectomy (NSV) for men.

“Dahil naniniwala tayo na ang pagpa-plano ng pamilya at pangangalaga sa kalusugan ay responsibilidad hindi lamang ng kababaihan, welcome dito mapa-babae man o lalaki (Because we believe that family planning and health care are responsibilities not only of women, so we also welcome men here,” Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) wrote in a Facebook post.

The services are available at POPCOM Family Wellness Clinic, Mondays to Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

This year’s Women’s Month Celebration theme is “We Make Change Work for Women Juana Laban sa Pandemya: Kaya!”

Proclamation No, 227 series of 1998 provides for the observance of the month of March as Women’s Role in History month, while Republic Act No. 6949 series of 1990 declares March 8 as International Women’s Day.
