Pasay to receive initial 100 doses of Sinovac vaccines

Pasay City’s lone public hospital — the Pasay City General Hospital (PCGH) —will initially receive 100 doses of Sinovac’s COVID-19 vaccines on Tuesday (March 2).

An official at the Pasay City Hall said the national government allotted a total of 5,000 doses of Sinovac vaccine for health workers at the PCGH.

Pasay City National Immunization Program Coordinator, Dra. Mercedes Noble, announced last Saturday that health workers in the city are ready to get inoculated and are just waiting for the arrival of the vaccine.

Noble said that she herself will get vaccinated with the Sinovac vaccine.

She said health workers in the city were added to the list of those who will be receiving the Sinovac vaccines in its first rollout in the country.

The vaccination program kicked off at the Philippine General Hospital and other government hospitals after the 600,000 vaccines arrived in the country on February 28.
