Easterlies to bring isolated rain showers over PH - PAGASA


The entire country may experience isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the prevailing easterlies, the state weather bureau said Saturday, Feb. 27.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the easterlies will continue to affect Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country may experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms in the next 24 hours.

The state-run agency warned of possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Weather Specialist Aldczar D. Aurelio said the country may continue to experience relatively hot weather due to the easterlies.

Temperatures in Metro Manila is forecast to reach 33 degrees Celsius on Saturday while Zamboanga may experience temperatures of up to 34 degrees Celsius, Aurelio said.
