In its daily weather bulletin issued on Friday, Feb. 26, PAGASA said partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms may affect the country

However, it continues to advise the public to remain vigilant against possible flash floods or landslides in case severe thunderstorms occur, especially in the afternoon or evening.

In its weekly weather outlook, PAGASA said that by Sunday, Feb. 28, cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will be felt in Cagayan, Isabela, and Aurora due to the tail-end of frontal system (shear line), a region where the cold northeast monsoon and warm easterlies converges.

Cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms may also prevail across Eastern Visayas, Caraga, and Davao region due to the easterlies.

Meanwhile, Ilocos region, Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), and the rest of Cagayan Valley will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon or “amihan.”

PAGASA said Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have warm and humid weather with higher chances of isolated rain showers or thunderstorms in the afternoon or evening.

By Monday, March 1, PAGASA said that the easterlies will be the dominant weather system anew that may bring warm weather in the morning and isolated thunderstorms in the afternoon or evening.

By Tuesday and Wednesday, March 2-3, Cagayan, Isabela, and Aurora may have scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the tail-end of the frontal system.

PAGASA said Batanes and Babuyan Islands will experience cloudy skies with light rains, while Ilocos region, CAR, and the rest of Cagayan Valley will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to amihan.

Meanwhile, it said Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers in the afternoon or evening due to localized thunderstorms.
