Coach puts K-pop spin on 'Friends' with Dawn and Hyuna

Its fashion presentations also featured Jennifer Lopez, Michael B. Jordan, and Cole Sprouse

As fashion shows go digital in this pandemic season, many design houses and fashion brands are converting the traditional runway presentations to films, showing their latest releases through different narratives.

Jennifer Lopez

Among the many brands taking on the current runway trend is American luxury design house Coach with the launch of Coach TV. It features Hollywood stars via Coach-produced fashion films filled with many pop culture nuances including Jennifer Lopez lip-syncing to Blondie, Megan Three Stallion as the ultimate "Mean Girl," Cole Sprouse's late night pillow talk, and Michael B. Jordan in a stroll inspired by the movie "Shaft," all clad in the Coach's fall 2021 pieces.

One of its releases will surely make K-pop and '90s sitcom fans happy. South Korean music artists Hyuna, former member of 4Minute, and her real-life boyfriend and rapper Dawn star in a stylish reimagination of "Friends." Set in a replica of Monica's apartment, the two settle a cookie problem through a dance-off.

“I have always loved exploring the intersection of fashion and pop culture at Coach,” said Stuart Vevers, the brand's creative director. “I am excited to bring my latest vision for the house to life via Coach TV. I wanted both the collection and the presentation to make sense and resonate in these unique times, and I am excited to share both in a way that I hope will entertain and inspire.”
