LOOK: This grandma made her prom dress for only P120

Going around the internet again is the amazing hand sewn skills of this cool grandmother of Arianne Marie Contreras.

Attending the prom is a milestone one shouldn't miss, and this lola was just too excited not to be part of her granddaughter's ball. Arianne tweeted last March 2020, along with a photo of her in in a low back silk gown inspired from Gigi Hadid's biased-cut dress on Jacquemus' runway show, "I know this has been everywhere hahah, but i need to show off my 'mamay.' She handsewn my dress morning of the prom day and the dress is only 120 pesos. She's a genius. I love her!"

Arianne tweeted her Lola's photo as part of the appreciation post

Obviously motivated, this grandma actually made two dresses for Arianne to choose, both made in less than 24 hours before the prom. "Funny how the sewing machine didn't work when we were bout to start," she recounts. And that's why they were lovingly hand sewn.

Best part of this whole DIY experience is that the cost—can you guess how much? "The two meters silk cost 120 pesos. She sewed it for me for free," ends Arianne.
