Nationwide chapter elections of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) will push through on February 27 despite the unavailability of its server to access election materials.
In a notice, the IBP said that while its server has crashed for reaching is bandwidth limit, election materials may be accessed through bit.ly/IBPChapterElectionsMaterials.
Due to travel restrictions in response to the corona virus disease 2019 (COVID-19), the IBP has allowed online voting for this year’s chapter elections.
“This upgrading provides its members a convenient alternative to the traditional ‘on-site’ voting,” the IBP said in a statement released last week.
It said “the online voting will encourage greater participation and involvement of Filipino lawyers in IBP and chapter affairs,” it added.
