PCG OKs resumption of trips from Bacolod, San Carlos to Iloilo City, Dumangas, Toledo City

BACOLOD CITY – The Philippine Coast Guard allowed Monday the resumption of sea trips here and San Carlos City, Negros Occidental when storm signal No. 1 imposed in these areas was lifted after tropical storm “Auring” weakened into a tropical depression.

Philippine Coast Guard (MANILA BULLETIN)

Capt. Ludovico Librilla Jr., PCG provincial acting station commander, issued the sea travel advisory stating the resumption of trips at the Bacolod Real Estate Development Corp. (Bredco) port to Iloilo City and Dumangas, Iloilo as well as San Carlos City port for Toledo City, Cebu.

However, Librilla said the resumption of trips from Escalante City and Sagay City will depend on the next weather bulletin to be issued by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Auring.

The 8 a.m. weather bulletin of PAGASA Monday said the following areas in northern Negros Occidental remain under Signal No. 1 – E.B. Magalona, Victorias City, Manapla, Cadiz City, Sagay City, Toboso, Escalante City, and Calatrava – thus sea travel remains restricted.
