Parañaque vendors receive food packs, cash aid from Senator Go


Senator Bong Go on Monday (February 22) visited Parañaque City and distributed food packs and financial assistance to 1,046 vendors.

Vendors from Barangay La Huerta and Baclaran were given P3,000 financial assistance and food packs each.

Parañaque City Mayor Edwin Olivarez said Go first visited Barangay La Huerta and about 427 vendors were given food packs and financial assistance.

He also said that Go visited next Barangay Baclaran and 619 vendors were given help.

The mayor was very thankful to Go for visiting the city and continuing to give help especially to vendors.

Olivarez also asked residents in La Huerta to continue observing health protocols for they recorded no case of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) for one month.

He said the City Health Office recorded on February 21 a total of 109 active cases with 15 new.

Baclaran officials were also told by Olivarez to be on the lookout at the boundary of Parañaque and Pasay after the city recorded a spike in COVID-19 cases.
