Maria Katrina Llegado bares plans after Miss World PH stint

Reigning Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas Maria Katrina Llegado has said that she is looking forward to crowning her successor in the upcoming Miss World Philippines 2020 pageant.

"I am looking forward to crowning my successor and watching another young girl's dream come true," Llegado said, at the launch of a book titled "The Cabalen Kitchen" during the grand opening of Cabalen Restaurant's new branch at the Fishermall in Quezon City recently. Among the VIPs at the opening include Mayor Benhur Abalos, Margie Santos, QC BPLO Head; Vice Mayor Bernard Dela Cruz, Malabon; and lawyer Niño Casimiro, QC Legal Officer.

The Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas crown is one of the titles up for grabs in the Miss World Philippines 2020 competition which started to screen possible candidates. No date has been announced for the grand coronation of the Miss World Philippines 2020 pageant.

Llegado, who won the Miss Cabalen special award during the MWP 2019 pageant, also said that she is ready for the challenges of 2021.

"2021, ready for all the adventures!" the beauty queen said recently.

Aside from crowning her successor, Llegado also said that she will go back to school after her stint in Miss World Philippines.

"I will continue investing in myself. I will start my master’s degree in entrepreneurship soon," she added.

Llegado admitted she was disappointed when her brother who was working abroad was not able to celebrate the holidays with them.

"We are always complete in celebrating the holidays but due to the pandemic my brother who is working abroad was not able to come home. Though far away, we celebrated with him virtually. So grateful that even miles away, we enjoyed the presence of one another and honor the true meaning of Christmas," she said.
