10 new COVID-19 cases, 2 fatalities recorded among Filipinos abroad


Two more fatalities and 10 new COVID-19 (coronavirus disease 2019) cases were recorded among overseas Filipinos in the Americas, Asia and the Pacific, and the Middle East and Africa, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said on Sunday. 

To date, the total number of confirmed cases is at 14,801; total fatalities at 1,014, and the total recoveries at 9,301.

The total number of COVID-19 deaths among Filipinos since the pandemic began in February last year is now 1,014.  

The number of countries and territories with Filipino COVID-19 cases is still 87.

“The DFA remains fully committed to monitoring the situation of overseas Filipinos and remains steadfast in promoting and protecting their welfare,” the department said in a statement.
