"I have categorically mentioned that I'm willing to be inoculated with either AstraZeneca or Pfizer. AstraZeneca is the brand that we procured here in San Juan. We procured 100,000 doses. We were also informed that Pfizer will be allocated to us here in Metro Manila by the national government," Zamora said in an interview with ABS-CBN New Channel (ANC) Monday.

"So either Pfizer or Astrazeneca, I'm willing to be inoculated because these are brands that I, as a consumer, trust because of their long track record and international recognition, and the fact that they have the Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) and FDA (Food and Drug Administration) approval here in the philippines," he added.

Pfizer-BioNTech's COVID-19 vaccine received its EUA from the FDA on January 14, while AstraZeneca's EUA was given on January 28.

Zamora previously wrote a letter to Department of Health (DOH) Secretary Francisco Duque III asking if he could be the first person in San Juan to be inoculated to increase the trust and confidence of his constituents in the vaccination process and to urge them to be vaccinated as well.
