Another trivia that has been making the rounds, after the couple Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced their pregnancy is, that the black-and-white photo was shot remotely—all the way from London to Santa Barbara.
Photographer Misan Harriman tweeted, “Meg, I was there at your wedding to witness this love story begin, and my friend, I am honored to capture it grow. Congratulations to The Duke and Duchess of Sussex on this joyous news!”
According to an exclusive interview by British Vogue, Harriman shared some nuances about the photograph, “With the tree of life behind them and the garden representing fertility, life and moving forward, they didn’t need any direction, because they are, and always have been, waltzing through life together as absolute soulmates.”
He is also honored to have taken this photograph, after a miscarriage last year, “To be asked to help share this absolute joy after such an unimaginable loss and heartache is a marker of true friendship.”
Harriman also shared another tidbit, “Meg reminded me that had I not introduced her to a mutual friend then she wouldn’t have met Harry.” He is grateful for each and every part that he has been playing in the lives of the couple.
