Man shot, bystander hit by stray bullet in Pasay


Two men who were just walking are currently under observation in the hospital when one of them was shot by motorcycle-riding gunmen while the other was hit by a stray bullet in Pasay City on Sunday night.

Pasay City Police Chief Col. Cesar Paday identified the two as Judiel Bueno, 19 and Marlon Mendoza, 27.

Investigation showed that the incident occurred at 8:45 p.m. along Protacio corner M. Dela Cruz Street, Brgy. 133, in Pasay City.
 
Police said that at 9 p.m., the office of Central Park Police Sub-Station received a telephone call from Barangay Captain Cecilia Pilar of Brgy.135 in Pasay City who reported an alleged shooting incident in the area.

Investigators said that while Bueno was walking along Protacio St., Brgy. 133 when two unidentified suspects onboard a motorcycle appeared suddenly and shot the victim successively. Mendoza was also hit by a stray bullet. 

The suspects hurriedly sped away toward Taft Avenue in Pasay. Both victims were brought to Pasay City General Hospital for medical treatment and are now under observation. 

Bueno stated during the initial investigation the alleged perpetrator was a certain “Leng-leng.” 

Combined elements of Central Park Police Sub-station and investigators from the Station Investigation and Detective Management Branch (SIDMB) led by its Chief Police Maj. Wilfredo Sangel is now conducting a follow-up investigation regarding the incident.
