The Department of Health (DOH) on Monday said the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) will issue guidelines regarding the re-opening of cinemas in general community quarantine areas.
“The DOLE consulted with the epidemiologist so that they can provide these requirements of ventilation specifically in enclosed spaces to prevent infection,” DOH Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said in a virtual forum.
But, she said, the DOH existing guidelines on the minimum health standard will still apply.
“When the DOLE guidelines come out, maybe we will have additional supplementary guidelines for us to be able to better explain what the people should do when going to these places,” said Vergeire.
Authorities earlier allowed the opening of more businesses like cinemas, museums, and tourist places like theme parks and historical landmarks.
Limited social events are also permitted at accredited establishments of the Department of Tourism.
It also allowed churches in the country’s capital region to open up to 50 percent of their capacity for worshippers.
