The Department of Foreign Affairs on Monday reported 13 new COVID-19 (coronavirus disease 2019) cases and 11 new recoveries among Filipinos abroad.
No new fatality was listed in the latest tally of COVID-19 cases involving overseas Filipinos.
Since the outbreak started in February last year, a total of 14,671 overseas Filipinos have been afflicted with the coronavirus. Of that total, 9,231 have recovered, 4,461 are undergoing treatment, and 979 succumbed to the disease.
To date, the total number of countries and territories with confirmed cases among Filipinos abroad remains at 86.
“The DFA, together with its Foreign Service Posts, continues to partner with host governments to ensure the safety and well-being of our nationals abroad amidst the pandemic,” the Department said in a statement.
