2 new four-story school buildings turned over in Parañaque City

As part of Parañaque City's celebration leading to its cityhood anniversary on Saturday (February 13), two new four-story school buildings were turned over by the city on Wednesday.

"This is a historical day today na nagkaroon tayo ng blessing ng extension ng ating Parañaque Science High School ang atin pong bagong building ng ating Barangay Sto. Nino High School (It is a historical day that we had the blessing of an extension of the Parañaque Science High School and a new building, the Barangay Sto. Nino High School)," Mayor Edwin Olivarez said.

Mar Jimenez, head of the public information office (PIO), said that both four-story buildings are equipped with 16 classrooms.

Present during the event were Vice-mayor Rico T. Golez, Cong. Eric L. Olivarez, Brgy. Capt. Johnny Co, School Superintendent Dr. Evangeline P. Ladines, and Asst. School Superintendent Dr. Viola Gonzales, as well as councilors. 

"This progress and development ay pinagtulung-tulungan po ng bawat stakeholders po natin. Mula po sa atin pong Congressman Eric Olivarez, ang ating national government, ang city government, ang barangay government ang DepEd family, at lalong lalo na ang participation ng ating mga private individual (This progress and development was a joint effort of different stakeholders. From our Congressman Eric Olivarez, the national government, city government, the  barangay government, the Department of Education family, and the participation of private individuals)," the mayor said.

He mentioned that the city aims to develop a new generation of leaders for the city who will continue in providing progress and development.

"At ang atin pong DepEd family ang susi po diyan. Ang susi para mabigyan po ng tamang kaalaman, edukasyon ang lahat po ng ating mga estudyante to govern this city of ours (Our DepEd family is the key to achieving that, to give proper knowledge and education to our students who will govern this city of ours)," the mayor said.
