It features works reflecting materialistic desire

Miss going to museums but you don’t want to take the risk of going out? Then Art Anton’s first exhibit for 2021 is the one you should see online.

Dubbed as “Aurum,” this exhibit has both a physical and virtual presentation, wherein it recreates an actual gallery set-up online, giving art enthusiasts the same experience they get from strolling an exhibit.

“It explores how we search for something and how we cope when we cannot find it,” Art Anton says. “Sometimes, we are trapped by materialistic desires. The need to fulfill those desires erodes the soul. For some, their wants and needs are in the form of gold. This examines the human condition of being physically, spiritually, and financially trapped through the classic symbol of desire, gold.”

“Aurum” features the works of Ferdinand Cacnio, Allain Hablo, Mario de Rivera, Sio Montera, Toym Imao, Ross Capili, Benjie Cabangis, Marge Organo, Meneline Wong, Ella Hipolito, and Paulina Luz Sotto.

See the exhibit online or at Art Anton located at G/F, S Maison, Marina Way, Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
