Pasay City to prioritize 130k residents in vaccine rollout


Over 130,000 residents will be prioritized in Pasay City once the mass vaccination commences, City Health Office Assistant Head Ma. Lourdes San Juan said on Thursday.

During the visit of the Coordinated Operations to Defeat Epidemic (CODE) Team at the Pasay City Hall on Thursday, Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano also presented the Pasay City COVID-19 Vaccine Operations Manual called “Vacc to the Future: EMI (Enduring, Meaningful and Invigorating).”

Rubiano said that over 6,000 residents are targeted to be vaccinated per day in the city once mass vaccination begins.

Pasay City will prioritize a total of 130,189 residents composed of 4,546 health workers; 42,981 senior citizens; 81,990 eligible indigent population, and 672 uniformed personnel including the Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Jail Management of Penology (BJMP, and the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP).

The city will conduct vaccinations five times a week with a weekly target of 30,160. It has readied 17 vaccination sites composed of 11 schools, two barangay covered courts, and four hospitals, with the aim of inoculating 464 persons per site, per day.

The 11 schools are:

District I: Gotamco Elementary School; Andres Bonifacio Elementary School; P. Burgos Elementary School; Pasay City West High school; Padre Zamora Elementary School; and Juan Sumulong Elementary School.

District II: T. Paez Elementary School; Brgy 190 Covered Court; President Aquino Elementary School; Apelo Cruz Elementary School; Villamor Airbase Elementary School; Brgy 194 Covered Court; and Kalayaan Elementary School.

The city will mobilize 17 doctors who will head the 297 "vaccination workforce" and 296 support personnel as well as emergency vehicles and other modes of transport including equipment.
