Korean actress Kim Bo-kyung passes away

Korean actress Kim Bo-kyung passed away after 11 years of fighting cancer. She was 44.

She died on Feb. 2 and her funeral ceremony was held today, Feb. 5, according to Korean media.

Born on April 3, 1976 in Busan, South Korea, Kim Bo-kyung majored in Theater at Seoul Institute of the Arts.  

She made her acting debut in the youth TV drama “New Generation Report: Adults Don't Know” in 1995 and her first movie was “Naked Being” in 1998 followed by “Friend” in 2001. 

Her drama credits include “School 4,” “Behind the White Tower,” “Kimcheed Radish Cubes,” “Spotlight” and “It Was Love.” Her last drama project was “Blood” in 2015, which starred Ahn Jae-hyun and Ku Hye-sun.

Kim Bo-kyung acted in other films such as “”R. U. Ready?,” “Sword in the Moon,” “My Little Bride,” “Epitaph,” “Paju,” “After the Banquet,” “The Day He Arrives” and “A Hard Day,” her last film that was released in 2014.
