DFA reports 2 more overseas Filipinos succumbed to COVID-19

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Wednesday added 25 new confirmed COVID-19 (coronavirus disease 2019) cases to the growing list of overseas Filipinos afflicted with the disease.

Aside from the new confirmed cases, two more Filipinos abroad died due to coronavirus infections while 10 others have fully recovered. 

This brings the total number of COVID-19 cases and recoveries among Filipinos abroad to 14,041 and 8,964, respectively.

Of the total figures, 4,123 are categorized as live cases or those undergoing treatment, while 954 succumbed to the disease.

The DFA, together with the various foreign service posts worldwide, reiterates its commitment to continue monitoring and assisting Filipino nationals abroad amid the pandemic.
