Teamwork made the dream a reality for Work Auster Force (World Challenger) as it entered the MPL Philippines Season 7 after taking down ArkAngel, 2-0, in the upper bracket finals of the Main Qualifiers on Sunday.
Hyper-carry Daniel “Chuuu” Chu’s Claude got solid support from his teammate to secure his core items and eventually power Work’s sweet sweep of the Season 3 champion organization AA.
WAF went on a perfect run in the main qualifying round, posting six wins in as many games in three series to grab the first of the two spots in the MPL main tournament.
Chuuu and the crew also crushed Season 1 winner Aether Main led by founding member Yuji “Yuji” Aizawa and ex-Execration sidelaner Jeff “S4gitnu” Subang in the upper bracket semifinals.
Work lived up to the prediction of Bren Esports head coach Francis “Duckey” Glindro and is now set to join the newly-crowned M2 world champion in Moonton’s professional league for its popular mobile MOBA game.
Work will also slug it out against M2 participant and last season’s runner-up Smart Omega, Execration, Onic PH, Aura PH, Blacklist International, Nexplay Solid and Cignal Ultra.
On the other hand, ArkAngel dropped to the lower bracket finals later where it will possibly face fellow former champ Aether Main for the last spot in the MPL regular season.
AE is battling Laus Playbook Esports in the lower bracket semifinals as of posting time.
