Two medical clinics in Valenzuela City have been closed by the local government for reportedly offering RT-PCR (Reverse Transcript -olymerase Chain Reaction) or swab coronavirus disease (COVID-19) tests without license.
Personnel from the city government issued on Friday the closure order on Bestcare Medical Clinic and Diagnostic Center’s two clinics in Barangay Karuhatan as they have no license to operate as COVID-19 testing laboratory, the local government said.
Their business permits were also suspended, it added.
“Valenzuela City’s grounds for the suspension of the business permit include 1. violation of Mayor’s Permit, 2. violation of waiver/undertaking, 3. violation of consumers’ rights; and 4. violation of the provision of the Local Government Code on General Welfare,” the local government said on Twitter.
The suspension orders will take effect immediately, it added.
