NBI seeks from PNP Dacera’s specimen, medical records

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has asked the Philippine National Police (PNP) for specimen and medical records of deceased flight attendant Christine Dacera, Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra said on Wednesday, Jan. 27.

“I understand that they have requested a certain specimen from the PNP and copies of Ms. Dacera's medical records to complete the whole picture,” Guevarra said.

Meanwhile, the secretary said “the NBI forensic team is ready with their toxicology report.”

“I will leave it to them to disclose their findings,” he added.

Meanwhile, the Makati City Prosecutor’s Office has been conducting a preliminary investigation of the rape with homicide complaint that the Philippine National Police (PNP) had filed against 11 men who were with Dacera.

Dacera was found unconscious last Jan. 1 in the bath tub of Room 2209 at the City Garden Grand Hotel in Makati City where she and her friends celebrated the new year.

She was rushed to the Makati Medical Center (MMC) but was declared dead on arrival.

Amid criticisms that the PNP bungled its investigation, Guevarra issued last Jan. 8 Department Order No. 006 which directed the NBI to investigate the death of Dacera.
