Disney unveils 'Raya and the Last Dragon' trailer


Fans are agog following the release of the full trailer of Disney's upcoming animated feature, "Raya and the Last Dragon."

The Southeast Asian-inspired film follows a lone warrior named Raya, a young girl on the hunt for the last dragon in order to restore "the fractured land and its divided people." 

Raya is voiced by Kelly Marie Tran of "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" and Sisu is played by Awkwafina from "Crazy Rich Asians."

Also included in the voice cast are Gemma Chan (Namaari), Daniel Dae Kim (Benja), Sandra Oh (Virana), Benedict Wong (Tong), Izaac Wang (Boun), Thalia Tran (Little Noi), Alan Tydyk (Tuk Tuk), Lucille Soong (Dang Hu), Patti Harrison (chief of the Tail land), and Ross Butler (chief of the Spine land).

Directed by Don Hall and Carlos Lopez Estrada with Paul Briggs and John Rippa, with screenplay by Award-winning playwright Qui Nguyen and Adele Lim, who also wrote "Crazy Rich Asians," the film premieres on March 5 in theaters and on Disney+. 

It was originally slated to be released in November, but was delayed due to COVID-19 pandemic.
