PDEA agents seize P3.4-million worth of shabu in Dumaguete


BACOLOD CITY - About 500 grams of suspected shabu, with an estimated worth of P3.4 million, were seized by agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) -Negros Oriental in a buy-bust operation in  Barangay Banilad, Dumaguete City on Monday.

Arrested was Ronald Japon, 37, of Barangay Mangnao, who was tagged as a high-value target.

Confiscated from him were six sachets of suspected shabu, sling bag, receipts of a remittance firm, driver’s license, a motorcycle, and the P100,000-marked money.

The contraband was believed to have been to the city through a courier firm.

Charges for sale and illegal possession of dangerous drugs were being readied against the suspect.
