92 new COVID-19 cases recorded in Davao City


DAVAO CITY - The Department of Health (DOH) Davao Center for Health Development (DCHD) reported 193 new cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on Monday, January 25.

The DOH data showed that Davao City recorded the highest number of cases with 92, followed by Davao del Norte with 51, Davao Oriental with 23, Davao del Sur 17, Davao de Oro with nine, and Davao Occidental with one case.

Based on the Regional Daily Case Bulletin No. 317, Davao has surpassed the 11,000-mark on its total COVID-19 cases reported. The city has recorded a total of 11,067 cases with 1,490 active cases.

Meanwhile, 11 deaths were reported on Monday. Seven of these were from Davao City, two from Davao de Oro, one from Davao del Norte, and one from Davao del Sur.

Davao City has recorded a total of 512 deaths, while the whole region has recorded 648 deaths.

The DOH also said 143 recoveries were reported bringing the total number of recoveries in the region to 13,019. Among those who have recovered 75 were from Davao City, 34 were from Davao del Norte, 17 were from Davao Oriental, 14 from Davao de Oro, and the from Davao del Sur.

Davao City has reported a total of 9,065 recoveries at present.
