A 4.5-magnitude earthquake jolted Batangas on early Tuesday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) reported.
The earthquake, which occurred at 3:39 a.m., was tectonic in origin and was traced 20 kilometers northwest of Calatagan, Batangas.
The quake had a depth of 74 km and was felt under the following instrumental intensities: Intensity II - Calatagan, Batangas; Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro; Intensity I - Tagaytay City, Cavite; Olongapo City, Zambales
No damage and aftershocks are expected from the tremor.
