Summer 2021 fashion campaigns: Here are our top picks

Summer 2021 is right around the corner. We're taking a step back to refresh and appreciate the campaigns that have been released so far for the bronzed season. So far, it seems like prints, patterns, patchwork, and Polaroids are the biggest themes on some of the best campaigns for spring-summer 2021 (SS21).

Head over water

Shot by celebrated photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, Versace's SS21 campaign starred the La Medusa handbag. The models looked like mermaids soaked in sea creature accessories and playful pieces from the neon-infused collection.

Colors of the sea and Sicily

Dolce & Gabbana got into a print frenzy for both their men's and women's ready to wear collections. For men, the brand featured the colors of the sea with '60s architecture as a design focal. The women's collection presented print and patchwork dipped in vibrant colors of nature reminiscent of Sicily. Both campaigns were shot by Branislav Simoncik.

Come to the light

For Fendi's latest campaign, photographer Nick Knight used shadow play and airy mood, highlighting the collection's soft, natural, and refreshing silhouettes.

Sacred codes

The photos captured by Elina Kechicheva exuded baroque painting-like images. For this collection, Maria Grazia Chiuri combined past and present motifs to reinterpret Dior's silhouette for the season.

Vintage energy

Lacoste's launched a collection that married modern and vintage inspirations with pieces made from upcycled fabrics using advanced techniques. For its campaign designed in collaboration with Maison Lemarié, the brand used Polaroid imagery to exude the vintage effect to go with their pieces.

Love Over Rules

Sacai's co-ed video campaign featured patchwork and hybrid garments. The video also showed a preview of the Japanese label's collaboration with Nike, with sneakers featuring layered midsoles and detailed tongue and upper. The campaign was shot behind-the-scenes style with models and crew walking around the set wearing the summer collection. It's modern, fashionable, and thoughtful with one main message, "Love Over Rules."
