Pre-orders start today for BTS’ ‘BE (Essential Edition)’ album


K-pop idol group BTS will be releasing their new album “BE (Essential Edition)” next month, according to Big Hit Entertainment.

According to the agency, pre-orders for the album will start today, Jan. 25, at 11 a.m. Korea Standard Time (10 a.m. in the Philippines) and it will be released at 2 p.m. KST on Feb. 19.

“During 2020, BTS was able to experience the heartfelt and enduring care and affection of fans and the world, even as we all faced a year of a new normality. No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, a nomination for the 2021 Grammy Awards-at every milestone were the resonance and passion of the fans of BTS for the thoughts, feelings and inner reflections contained in their music,” Big Hit said in an announcement.

It added, “With ‘BE (Essential Edition),’ we hope to show the deepest of appreciation to all fans who have stood by BTS in the making of history. We hope that BTS together with all fans will continue on their remarkable journey in 2021.”

BTS released the “BE (Deluxe Edition) last Nov. 20 containing eight tracks: “Life Goes On,” “Fly to My Room,” “Blue & Grey,” “Skit,” “Telepathy,” “Dis-ease,” “Stay” and “Dynamite.”

“BE (Essential Edition)” will have the same tracks but some components of the new album will be different. Special gifts from BTS for the fans will be revealed before the album’s release.

“BE (Deluxe Edition)” sold 2.34 million copies last year and became the second best-selling album in South Korea, according to Hanteo Chart.

BTS is nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for “Dynamite” at the 63rd Grammy Awards that will be held on March 14.
