Bren Esports ace carry Karl Gabriel "KarlTzy" Nepomuceno has always been vocal of his dream of becoming the best Mobile Legends: Bang Bang player in the world.

On Sunday evening, he made it a reality.

KarlTzy powered Bren to a thrilling 4-3 victory over Burmese Ghouls of Myanmar in the grueling grand finals of the M2 Mobile Legends World Championship in Singapore.

The 16-year-old hyper-carry's Claude came through with a destructive Blazing Duet in the championship-winning clash in the 12th minute of the winner-take-all Game 7 as Bren bagged the world title and the $140,000 (over P6.7 million) top prize.

His stellar performance throughout the title series rightfully earned him the Finals MVP award that came with a $3,000 (over P144,000) prize.

"Itong panalo namin sa M2, sobrang laki nito para sa'kin talaga kasi pagkapasok ko pa lang sa pro scene, gusto ko talaga maging pinakamalakas sa buong mundo," said KarlTzy in the post-finals interview.

The M2 title and Finals MVP award were the final pieces KarlTzy needed to lay claim on the "best player in the world" tag.

He played a pivotal role in the Sibol squad that won the gold medal against Indonesia in the SEA Games 2019 and he was at the forefront of Bren's championship runs in the MPL-PH Season 6 and The Nationals Season 2 just last year.

With the MPL Philippines MVP leading the charge, Bren cruised to a scorching 2-0 start against Burmese Ghouls in the title series.

KarlTzy's Claude in Game 1 finished with a 5-3-10 kill-death-assist record to lead Bren to a tight 19-15 win while his Yi Sun-shin in Game 2 was a monster with a 9-1-8 slate in a 26-4 rout of Burmese Ghouls.

Bren fell on the verge of losing after the MPL Myanmar winner took three straight games but KarlTzy's tanky Brody took BG by surprise and allowed Bren to force a deciding Game 7 with a 26-18 triumph in 17 minutes.

He built defensive items Beast Killer, Immortality, Antique Cuirass and Athena's Shield to counter the opponent's Natalia pick.

Once again, KarlTzy got his hands on the Claude and sparked the four-man wipe of BG together with CJ "Ribo" Ribo's Harith in the 12th minute team fight.

KarlTzy and the rest of Bren marched to BG's base with the Luminous Lord to secure the world title with a 19-14 victory in 14 minutes.
