Barbie Almalbis reveals husband's COVID-19 scare

She could only be thankful that all is well now but Barbie Almalbis admitted the past few days were trying for her and husband Martin Honasan, with the latter having been confined to a hospital after testing COVID-19 positive.

In her recent post, Barbie shared how she took to wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) 24/7, taking care of Martin.

They are still not sure how the latter got the virus but they suspect it might be from a recent hospital visit or from someone they had met up with.

"This was one of the hardest months we’ve ever had, a faith-stretching season that brought us to our knees many times, but God has remained faithful to sustain us and give us peace through it all," Barbie said.

The singer-songwriter also shared 2 Chronicles 20:

"If calamity comes upon us, whether the sword of judgment, or plague or famine, we will stand in your presence before this temple that bears your Name and will cry out to you in our distress, and you will hear us and save us...

"Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s...

"Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the Lord will be with you."

She also mentioned a specific moment that gave them strength.

"One night, it was difficult and sometimes painful for him to breathe, and he felt fuzzy and confused from a 9-day fever and dehydration. He was feeling scared and we mentioned it to our nurse. She gently tapped him on the shoulder and said, “Don’t worry, Sir Martin. God is with you.” She didn’t know it, but that moment gave Martin a surge of hope and peace, assured that God had been with us every moment, as He promised. He began to recover soon after, and we were able to go home after a few days," Barbie shared.

She went on to thank the nurses and doctors who helped their family with such "excellence, compassion, and love."

She added, "We are grateful to our dear family and friends who prayed with us, supported us, and encouraged us everyday. Love you all so much! We praise God for all He has done, and for making himself known to us even more through this."
