Hanteo Chart has revealed the top-selling albums released by Korean male and female groups, and male and female solo artists in the second half of 2020 covering the period July 1 to Dec. 31.
In the male group category, BTS’ “BE” album, released on Nov. 20, grabbed the No. 1 spot in album sales.
Here are the top five best-selling albums among male groups in the second half of 2020:
- BTS - “BE” - 2,343,709 copies sold
- Seventeen - “Semicolon” - 974,335
- NCT - “Resonance, Pt. 1” - 889,810
- BTS - “Skool Luv Affair: Special Addition” - 588,798
- NCT - “Resonance, Pt. 2” - 562,289
On the other hand, BLACKPINK’s “The Album” placed first among releases by female groups in the second half of last year.
Here are the top five top-selling albums for female groups in second half of 2020:
- BLACKPINK - “The Album” - 758,534
- IZ*ONE - “One-reeler / Act IV” - 378,443
- TWICE - “Wide Eyes Open” - 283,666
