VIRAL: Daughter's 'Do not disturb' note taped on her back

Online distance learning can be overwhelming, most especially when you have a lot to catch up with. When 41-year-old housewife Lea R. Villanueva shared a photo of her 18-year-old daughter Kyla Mhikaela engrossed in finishing her schoolwork, the post garnered over 7,000 shares.

Manila Bulletin Lifestyle reached out to Lea on why Kyla had to use this tactic. "Hindi po kasi uso sa kanya yun cramming Mas kilala po siyang student na ahead magpasa or on time magpasa," the proud mom shares. "May pinagdaanan po kasi nung December kaya natigil siya. Ilang linggo bukod po doon, nagkasakit din po," reveals Lea.

And Kyla isn't just swamped with schoolwork, she was also busy finishing up house chores and tutoring her two younger brothers. "Kaya nung nakita ko yon, natawa na lang ako," laughs Lea who added that her daughter is really helpful and industrious. She puts house chores and her family first before sitting down to work on her modules.

Despite missing a lot of school days late last year, her mom says that Kyla is doing okay. "Luckily napasa niya naman lahat ng modules on time. About sa grades. Consistent honors siya mula elementary and high school. Honors graduate din siya."
