After leaving JYP Entertainment, K-pop idol group GOT7’s Youngjae has found a new agency while Mark Tuan reached one million subscribers on YouTube.

GOT7 members decided not to renew their exclusive contracts with JYP Entertainment after being in the agency for seven years in the agency and the business relationship formally ended on Jan. 19.

The following day, Youngjae announced that he has joined Sublime Artist Agency, which is home to Korean celebrities like Rain and Song Kang-ho, and expressed his gratitude to Park Jin-young, or JYP, founder of JYP Entertainment.

“From now on, I will be with the Sublime Artist Agency. Thank you to everyone who has helped until now. In particular, I was able to learn a lot from Park Jin-young PD, and I was happy with the eight years of time together that it was like a dream,” he wrote.

In addition, GOT7 member Jackson is also reportedly in talks to sign a business agreement with Sublime through his Team Wang.

Meanwhile, Mark announced on Jan. 20 that his personal YouTube channel reached one million subscribers despite that it has no content.

“WE JUST HIT 1 MIL ON THE YOUTUBE CHANNEL!! With no videos… can we get that play button?? THANK YOU GUYS FOR SUBSCRIBING! Hope you guys are enjoying all the content,” he posted on Twitter.

It was previously reported that Mark’s initial plans after leaving JYP Entertainment were to fly back to the US to be with his family in Los Angeles and set up a personal YouTube channel.

After their contracts expired, GOT7 members JB, Jackson, Mark, Youngjae, Jinyoung, BamBam and Yugyeom wrote a handwritten letter to IGOT7 (fans) on Jan. 19 to express their gratitude.

"We have decided not to renew our contract with JYP Entertainment, where we began our career. They've done the best for us though. We are planning on opening the new chapter of our lives, and wanted to make sure you were the first one to know about it,” they said, SBS News reported.

They added, "We know whatever we say won't ease your pain as well as to make your anxiety go away, but there is one thing we can say to you. We would like to say that we don't want our memories with you kept in the past; we want to keep creating memories with you in the future."

"Let us show ourselves growing in different ways. We will keep improving ourselves. Keep an eye on us. Love you, IGOT7," the members said.
