Tuguegarao placed under ECQ due to rising COVID-19 cases

CAGAYAN — The Regional InterAgency Task Force (RIATF) on the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) approved on Tuesday, January 19, the request of Tuguegarao City Mayor Jefferson Soriano to place the city under Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) due to the rising number of coronavirus cases. 

Soriano said ECQ will be imposed in Tuguegarao City from 12:01 a.m. January 20 to midnight of January 29. 

Soriano made the request to the RIATF on Monday when the number of active cases reached 246, mostly local transmissions in 30 barangays.
