Netizens express mixed reactions after 'Dacera Five' establish YouTube channel

Are they milking their newfound popularity or are they out to establish a career as celebrities?

This is what some people are asking after several of the accused in the wildly popular Christine Dacera case, namely Valentine Rosales, JP Dela Serna, Clark Rapinan, Gigo De Guzman, and Rommel Galido, made public their YouTube channel, Fund The Truth, on Jan. 17.

Although a lot of those who commented on the channel, which now has four videos, all of which have already gained more than a thousand views, were all about the case, there are those who are seemingly only too eager to push a different agenda.

Said one fan, "Mag-vlog kayo ng mag-vlog... Like 'A day in a life...' Anything under the sun... don't talk or mention lang iyong about the case..."

Said another, "Good vibes si Valentine... Ako lang ba o kahawig niya si Kim Chiu? Kaaliw siya puede siyang TV host!"

Pushed yet another fan, "Artistahin ang top 5!"

Note that prior, the group also established a Facebook page with a similar title.

They explained the need to do so as a means to gain funds to help pay their legal defense.
