Lalamove launches sedan fleet

Riding on the surge of deliveries last year due to the pandemic, Lalamove Philippines is increasing investments for fleet expansion this year—setting the stage for the launch of its sedan fleet.

In a statement, Lalamove said it has maintained a foothold in the delivery industry with sustained growth despite the challenges of 2020, Lalamove.

“The pandemic has shown the value of same-day delivery and with the continuous rise of online businesses, Lalamove invests further in its fleet expansion to meet the growing demand while also creating more job opportunities,” the firm said.

It noted that, it is launching the sedan fleet which has long been requested by its loyal customers. This new fleet will feature 200kg of weight capacity with dimensions of 3.5 x 2 x 2.5 ft.

“It falls perfectly between the motorcycle and the MPV category, promising a significant capacity upgrade from the motorcycle fleet and lower prices compared to the 300kg MPVs,” Lalamove explained.

It added that, business users stand to benefit from the new category as the food and beverage industry and online marketplaces have shown a steady increase in demand for 4-wheel deliveries.

In addition, this opens up great earning opportunities to more people whose livelihood has been affected by the pandemic.

"Our goal this year is to further enhance the flexibility of our delivery services. The launch of the sedan fleet is our answer to the ever-growing needs of our customers while creating more jobs for the driving community," said Lalamove Philippines Managing Director Dannah Majarocon.  The 200kg Sedan fleet will start taking on deliveries on February 1, 2021. Lalamove has started accepting applications from partner drivers.
