Netizens applaud GMA's 'Voltes V: Legacy' teaser

It seems like '80s babies approve of GMA's upcoming live-action remake of the Japanese anime series “Voltes V: Legacy.”

Its recent trailer received mostly positive feedback.

"Wag sana araw araw para may mahabang time yung mga vfx artist grabe LUPET NITO GMA," one wrote on YouTube.

Another reacted: "Sana, 1 or 2 eps per week. Para hindi ma compromise yung story and editing. Kudos to GMA!!!"

Most netizens described the trailer as "breathtaking" and "epic."

There are others who are a bit skeptical, though, asking GMA to not "disappoint" them.

"Don't ruin our childhood," one pleaded.

The trailer allowed a glimpse of Steve Armstrong, Voltes V leader.

“Voltes V” is a Japanese animation TV series that was popular in the Philippines in the ‘80s. The five main characters are tasked to pilot the robot Voltes V to defend the earth from the evil Bozanian invasion.

The series will be directed by Mark A. Reyes.

As of writing, there's still no announcement on the official release date.
