Mandaluyong residents urged to pre-register for free COVID-19 vaccination

Mandaluyong City residents may now sign up online to avail of the free coronavirus disease (COVID-19) vaccine once it arrives.

The local government launched Thursday the online pre-registration of residents who are willing to get inoculated against COVID-19.

Residents who wish to reserve their slot for the free vaccination may register via https://www.mandaluyong.gov.ph/vaccine/.

Those who will register online must submit a digital copy of any valid identification as proof of residency.

Each of the 21 barangays in the city will also deploy a team that will conduct house-to-house registration to avoid people from going outside.

“As much as possible, we want residents who voluntarily want to make their reservations via online so people don't have to go to their respective barangay halls,” Mayor Carmelita Abalos said.

The local government noted that the registration is voluntary and free of charge, as well as the vaccine itself since the city has allocated a P200-million budget for its procurement.

The total number of reservations will determine the quantity of COVID-19 vaccine the city government will acquire once it is made available, it added.

Abalos also said those who have pre-registered will be included in the priority list of persons to be inoculated first, including medical frontliners, senior citizens, and persons with disabilities.
