Fil-Am singer Olivia Rodrigo’s ‘Drivers License’ tops streaming platforms
Filipino-American singer Olivia Rodrigo is currently dominating major streaming charts with her debut single “Drivers License.”
Rodrigo released the track on Friday (Jan. 8).
Just a few days after its release, the single climbed to No. 1 spot on the US iTunes Top 100 chart, Apple Music’s Top 100: Global chart, and Spotify’s Global Top 100.
The official music video for the track has been viewed over 22 million times as of this writing.
“When I came up with ‘Drivers License,’ I was going through a heartbreak that was so confusing to me, so multifaceted,” the 17-year old said in an interview with Billboard.
“Drivers License” will serve as the lead single for Rodrigo’s upcoming debut EP due later this year.
