2 men onboard jeepney gunned down in Quiapo


Two men onboard a public utility jeepney were gunned down by four unidentified assailants in broad daylight in Quiapo, Manila on Thursday.

Police identified the victims as Felizardo Pablico, 49, resident of Sta. Cruz, Manila; and Reynaldo Nuque, Jr., 49, resident of Barangay Tugatog, Malabon City. 

Pablico was reportedly a member of the Sputnik Gang, according to the police. 

Police also said that Nuque was a former police officer assigned at the Caloocan City Police Station who went on absence without leave (AWOL). 

Investigation showed that the two victims were onboard a jeepney plying Quezon Boulevard at around 10 a.m.

Then, the four unidentified gunmen, clad in black jackets, helmets, and face masks, appeared on the right side of the vehicle and shot the victims before fleeing toward Recto Avenue. 

Investigation is ongoing.
