Bacoor LGU allots P100M to vaccinate 70% of its population against COVID-19


BACOOR CITY, Cavite - The city government allotted a budget of P100 million for its coronavirus disease (COVID-19) vaccination program, Mayor Lani M. Revilla announced on Tuesday (January 12).

The program aims to vaccinate 707,604 individuals or 70 percent of the city's population against the disease.

Priority populations include frontline healthcare workers, uniformed personnel, social workers, senior citizens, persons with disability, persons deprived of liberty, other frontline government workers, teachers, students, and the indigent population.

The LGU's preferred vaccines are AstraZeneca, Jansen, Novovax, Pfizer, and Moderna.

According to the City Information Office, the initial budget may still change, depending on the number of vaccines to be provided by the national government.
